Find out moreThe P79 adjustable, in-hull depth transducer is ideal for boats with fiberglass hulls looking for a fast and easy installation, high-speed performance, or those who want to minimize drag. The transducer installs inside of the boat's hull, transmitting and receiving echoes through the solid fiberglass bottom with no hull protrusion whatsoever.
P79 comes with an innovative flange that installs on the inside of the boat's hull using quick-setting marine epoxy. No cutting or drilling is required. Using built-in markings the flange is aligned to match the deadrise angle of the boat's hull. Once set in place and made liquid-tight, the flange is filled with propylene glycol non-toxic antifreeze and the active transducer cap is attached. Finally, the transducer cap is dialed-in and locked in place for a straight-down beam and maximum echo returns.
Note: Being an in-hull transducer, there is no water temperature sensor on the P79 transducer.
The design of the P79 accommodates a wide range of deadrise angles from 2° to 22°. This transducer is intended for use on vessels with solid fiberglass hulls with a maximum thickness of 5/8". P79 can also be used on aluminum hulls less than 3.8mm (0.125") thick.
Raymarine offers the P79 transducer is multiple configurations to support traditional analog sailing instruments, NMEA200 Smart devices, as well as dual-frequency (50/200 kHz) fishfinders.
