Released in January 2025, LightHouse 4.9 adds many new features and capabilities to the Raymarine Axiom family of chartplotters.
We're pleased to announce the launch of LightHouse 4.9, the latest update for all Axiom chartplotters which adds new features, enhancements and updates that expand Axiom’s capabilities. New and notable changes found in LightHouse 4.9 include:
Anchor mode uses your vessel’s GNSS (GPS) position to record your location when your anchor hits the bottom. Anchor mode automatically calculates the vessel’s swing and drag circles and can alert you to when the anchor is dragging. In LightHouse 4.9, new on-screen controls allow you to fine-tune the anchor depth value, adjust the length-of-chain value, and adjust the recorded anchor position.
LightHouse 4.9 now includes manufacturer-specific homescreen icons for Fusion, Hertz, JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate and Wet Sounds devices. These icons will replace the default audio application icon when Axiom’s homescreen is set to use Mode Icons.
We have also added expanded support for the JL Audio MediaMaster 105 audio system. Use a RayNet Ethernet connection between Axiom and the MM105 to experience the rich user-interface of the MediaMaster system from the LightHouse app menu.
Axiom now offers an expanded set of icons to differentiate between connected network cameras, analog cameras, and video sources. The video app settings menu allows users to select these icons for each video source. LightHouse 4.9 also adds a new on-screen Camera Home button that allows you to return a connected pan/tilt/zoom camera to its programmed home position.
Axiom offers GNSS support for the GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Beidou satellite navigation systems. In LightHouse 4.9, users can activate or deactivate individual constellations as desired. In addition, the multiple data sources feature now allows users to select a GNSS receiver based on HDOP or signal quality.
Lighthouse 4.9 offers a new button for selecting from various common formats for expressing waypoint latitude/longitude coordinates in degrees, minutes, seconds, decimals, and other variations. This includes the very popular DD.DDDDDD decimal degrees format used by Google Maps and many mobile navigation apps. Plus, we’ve added an Add Another button to the waypoint dialog box, making the entry of multiple waypoints back-to-back, more efficient. You no longer must close and re-open the form.
Axiom’s new built-in base map for LightHouse Charts now provides a more detailed worldwide coastline with enhanced country names, major city names, and major ocean features.
LightHouse 4.9 includes updated versions of popular apps including Netflix, AnyDesk, NV Charts, PredictWind, PredictWind Offshore and Windy on Axiom 2-Series displays.
